Volunteer Orientation + Art Pick Up

  • Planet Repair Institute 8512 Southeast 8th Avenue Portland, OR, 97202 United States (map)

Interested in working with City Repair and want to learn what we're all about? Our basic mission, philosophy, and history? This is for you!

Know what we're all about and just want to go on a treasure scavanger hunt, picking up garbage at the river that we're going to make art out of? Then skip the orientation (between 10 - 10:30) and this is for you!

We'll have snacks, coffee, tea and coordinators from City Repair to show what we're all about. After the orientation we'll walk down to the Willamette, led by Sarah Belllum our Zero Waste Coordinator, to pick up trash and then figure out ways to reclaim it.

In previous years of waste diversion we made art that was then showcased in our annual Village Building Convergence.
