Learn to design plant guilds that mimic the web of interrelationships that are the strength of a natural ecosystem. We’ll work with apples, figs, currants, gooseberries, grapes, and lots of other delicious species. (You might just get one to take home!)
Sheet mulching is a quick and easy method for converting lawns and wastelands full of invasives into beautiful garden beds with great soil. Using this method, we’ll be installing garden beds as well as mulching the fruit tree guilds planted earlier in the day.
Seedballs might just be the adopted starchild of the Permaculture movement. These little spheres of clay, seeds, and mychorizzal inoculum have the power to potentiate an entire food-producing ecosystem where ever they are cast. Come get your hands muddy as we mix, roll, and even sculpt gardens of the future into existence.
Our wonderful site host Lynn is a master of all things fiber-artsy. She’ll show you how to craft a drop spindle out of a CD, wooden dowel, and eye hook, and then how to use it to spin yarn!
