Come help design the 10-day evening event: food, music, speakers, presentors, and overall vision of how this event rounds out the day of activities into a nightime spectacle of gathering and celebration.
These meetings are for all interested in how their space is set up at the venue
The first meeting will be held at:
Time: 7pm
Day: Thursday, March 27th, 2007
Where: City Repair Headquarters (2122 SE Division Street)
Contact with questions: Mark Moore, 503-307-3945, email Mark Moore
Following Meetings will be held every Thursday, same time, same place.
I ask you to have a few notes to bring to this meeting describing your space requirements (what it is that you need to have at the venue). Also, please be dreaming about what kind of space that you envision having, (what does it look and feel like)? We are on a really tight time-frame and we need you to take as much responsibility for creating your allotted spaces as you possibly can. We all have a huge task of getting this empty space ready for VBC, therefore the more people can take responsibility for their spaces, the easier it will go... and everyone will help if it is just too much for one person to do.
Ultimately, I will make sure that the major things you need are in place and functioning properly, and you will be responsible for putting the final touches on your spaces (decorations, cool things, pillows, paint- all of which we have at Headquarters, but you will need to organize in your space to create the look and feel that you want). Those spaces that are not delegated to the coordinators will be designed as best we can without expertise of the area. The rules which we must follow will be explained at the meetings.
FYI, the longer you wait to come to one of these meetings, the less likely you will get what you want... it is unfortunate... so please try and come to the first meeting. If you cannot, you may send me your visions and space requirements at this email yogeo@igeoman.com or call me @ 503-307-3945.

Invocation for VBC7 Tribal Market! Open call for vendors!
Hey there makers of fine things and matter dealers! This is an official invitation to share in the creation of the Village Building Convergence 7’s Tribal Marketplace. We are calling upon those who want to vend at the central venue, during the evenings while VBC7 is happening. The market is open from approx. 5pm - 10pm for the 10 days of VBC. The cost of a booth ( size of one regular folding table, exact measurements to come...) is $100 for the whole convergence! What a deal! Cooperation is welcomed, so if you and a friend want to share one booth space, please do. We are interested ESPECIALLY in goods that are:
locally made
promote recycling & reusing
eco-fibers & materials
relevance to the folks who might attend VBC7, etc.
Please contact the Market Coordinator with questions: Lynx
