Have you heard of cob, strawbale, permaculture, natural building? Are you interested in paradigm reconstruction, DIY paintmaking, learning to grow your own food, off-the-grid living and beekeeping? Well, you are in luck, because

The City Repair Project invites all you villagers out there to come build with us. For 10 days, May 18th to 27th, you can come partake of natural building, community development, workshops, village meals, inspirational speakers and awesome musicians and performers. Get to know us, get to know your neighbors, get to know yourself.

If you want to learn more about the VBC, or already know what it is and know you want to get involved, we are holding one last orientation before the VBC begins. On Thursday, May 17th, from 7:30 to 9pm, our volunteer coordinator will be available for all questions VBC. Learn what and where all the sites are this year, which parts of the VBC cost money, what yummy foods await you each evening, what speakers and performers will be amazing us each night. Sign up for worktrade shifts, get a map and building schedule of the sites, get all your questions answered. We will be meeting at the evening event venue (Disjecta, 230 E Burnside, entrance under the bridge) so you can see the space and get inspired. Come early if you want to help build. There will be food and tea for all.
